Plot of La Fuerza Del Destino
14-year-old Ivan (Adriano Zendejas) returns with his mother, Alicia (Leticia Calderón), to Lamos, Sonora, his birthplace.
His father, Juan Jaime Mondragon (Juan Ferrara), a wealthy and powerful businessman and landowner, does not recognize him as his son and rejects him.
Alicia keeps her son’s origins a secret and is forced to accept a job as a servant for the Lomelí Curiel family.
Where is Doña Carlota (Delia Casanova), her daughter Lucrecia (Rosa María Bianchi), her son-in-law Gerardo (Alejandro Tommasi).
And their two daughters, Maripaz (Ilse Zamarripa) and Lucía (Renata Notni) live.
The years pass and Iván (David Zepeda) and Maripaz (Laisha Wilkins) are now teenagers.
Ivan feels attracted to Maripaz, and because she is frivolous and shallow, seduces her and ends up getting pregnant.
Her family was faced with keeping her pregnancy a secret in order to protect her family’s good name.
Ivan visits his godmother, Arcelia, and there finds her mother dying after trying to end her own pregnancy, much to her surprise.
She believes Juan Jaime is the baby’s father.
As Ivan walks out for some fresh air, he is attacked by Lucrecia’s thugs for getting Maripaz pregnant.
During the fight, Ivan’s friends, Camilo and his brother Antolín, came and rushed to his aid.
Antolín stabs one of the men, killing him.
However, Ivan is wrongly accused of murder and flees the country for fear of being unjustly punished for murder and sent to prison.
He crossed the border illegally, still recovering from the beatings and battles of the desert nature elements between Mexico and the United States.
He went to Los Angeles, California and ended up living there for eleven years, eventually becoming a successful engineer.
There, he meets Anthony McGuire (Pedro Armendáriz Jr.), an elderly businessman who has lost his wife and only son.
Anthony initially paid for Ivan’s education and then arranged to adopt him.
Anthony encourages Ivan to return to Mexico with him, not only for business but also to confront his past.
Ivan gets some shocking news when he returns to Sonora.
Among them is that the child she was carrying with Maripaz mysteriously disappeared the same day she was born, and no one has known about her since.
He meets Lucía (Sandra Echeverría), now a youth psychologist, who confesses to Ivan that she has secretly loved him since he was a child.
Lucía promises to help him find his son, regain his dignity, and overcome all obstacles with courage.
Ivan discovers that Alex, Gerardo’s adopted son, is his son.
Maripaz also discovers this fact and tells Ivan that if he doesn’t marry her, he will take Alex away from him.
Thinking of his son, Iván agrees to marry Maripaz and end his relationship with Lucía, whom he loves.
Ivan marries Maripaz and moves to the United States with him, Alex, and his father.
After Lucia and Ivan broke up, Lucia went to a club with a friend in an attempt to cheer herself up.
She drank beer at the bar and the drink contained aphrodisiacs, which resulted in her being raped unnoticed.
A few weeks later, Lucía learns that she is pregnant, and believes that Ivan is their real father because they had sex before she married and left.
Carlota suggests that Lucía marry Camilo, who loves her very much, as she does not want her granddaughter to be a single mother.
Lucía gave birth to a baby girl named Perlita, and married Camilo.
Lucía cannot forget her relationship with Ivan, which makes Camilo feel angry and jealous.
After Maripaz commits adultery, Ivan divorces her and gains parental rights for Alex.
Anthony then tells Ivan that Lucía married Camilo and had a baby, which left him feeling angry and betrayed.
He returned to lamos to find the reason why it happened.
Ivan’s return causes jealousy in Camilo, causing Lucía to start thinking twice about staying married to Camilo.
Meanwhile, Maripaz returns and now turns his attention to seducing Camilo, starting an affair with him.
Lucía continued the divorce proceedings, and during the court proceedings, Perlita’s custody was challenged after DNA results proved that she was not Ivan’s daughter.
Lucía begins to remember the actions of that night and reveals that she was actually raped.
After undergoing hypnosis therapy, Lucía can finally remember the face of her attacker as Saúl (Ferdinando Valencia), Juan Jaime’s son.
Lucía and Ivan decide not to file a case against Saúl so as not to spoil Perlita’s future.
Lucrecia was found to have kidney failure and she needed ongoing treatment and a transplant to save her life.
Camilo broke his relationship with Maripaz because Maripaz became a needy person and interfered.
Later, it became known that Maripaz was the only one who got along with his mother.
Maripaz agrees to donate a kidney and during the operation he dies, saving his mother’s life and being recognized by Alex as a hero.
After an audit was conducted on the accounts of the Agricultural Association, Juan Jaime was forced by the association to pay back the money he stole in exchange for the non-involvement of the authorities.
However, his wife, Esther (Lucero Lander), also filed for divorce demanding half of Mondragón’s fortune.
This condition causes Juan Jaime to become increasingly frantic and drunken, and in the end he is left alone with no one by his side.
Saúl, who is on the run, arranges with his partner, “El Gordo”, to kidnap Ivan’s son for money.
While arranging to receive ransom from Iván in a remote area, “El Gordo” shoots Ivan, who is then shot by Camilo.
“El Gordo” and the rest of Saúl’s gang, shot Camilo in the process and left the three of them there and fled with a bag of money.
After a long battle with the infection, both Camilo and Ivan recovered and they were finally reunited with their families.
In the end, Saúl is imprisoned and commits suicide in his prison cell, and Iván and Lucía end up getting married while Camilo meets a woman at their wedding.
